Meet the people who make our
Cowboy Up Youth Rodeo
Possible:
Randy Moore
President

Involved with CUYR for four years
held a position three of these four years
2008 is my first year as president

Rode bulls in the APRA Rodeo Association

Owned , trained , and rode horses all of my life
Trail riding, harness racing,etc.

My primary goal is to enable the youth members to learn and enjoy
all of the aspects of the rodeo.  It is rewarding to see members
helping one another - regardless of age or experience. It takes a
great deal of time and effort to organize each rodeo, however the
payoff comes with each smile, payback envelope, tear, etc.

Retired Marine, widowed mom of 3 (2 still home).
Widely varied civilian

We got involved with CUYR because we heard the commotion next
door and went to see what was going on.
At the time, we had a mini pony a friend had given us, and my
daughters wanted to try to ride him in the rodeo.  So we signed up
and before the first weekend was over, they both
had ridden on a borrowed horse in several events and we were on
our way to loving rodeo! That was the summer of '06.  The
following summer I filled the Rodeo Secretary position and am still
doing so this year.  My kids love the rodeo because of the horses,
the competition and the camaraderie.   I love it because most of the
parents get involved and help out with what's going on for their
kids; it's a lot of fun as well as a lot of work.
